Living in a glass houseImpending such a strong and terminal word. The pure fact that something is impending (meaning to happen in the future) is a dark and ugly shadow over many people. Especially in this crazy economy we are in. You see when that word impending is used it’s in conjunction with foreclosure, bankruptcy, death. You know what I am saying it’s going to be final.

Why is it that so many people are impending financial disaster within their own lives even when they have seen the signs all around them warning them of immediate change that needs to be taken in and implemented. It sounds so crazy to me that people would still rather live in a shadowed word where they are behind glass walls, just waiting for someone to throw a stone at you.

So forget the impending problems we need to focus on the impending solutions instead. What are you faced with? Foreclosure? Not a problem. Over Leveraged Debt? Again no problem. Are you behind on taxes? Still no problem. No matter what the financial outlook seems like it can always be altered. You do not have to wait for the worst impending situation to prompt you to get help. You have leeway and lead time to get all of your ducks in a row, so to speak.

You know it feels like you are all alone when these types of financial uncertainties take form in your life, however it’s not like you just woke up one day and there was a problem. You had some insider information that warned you about this some time ago. Maybe you just need to step aside and get out of your own way.

Have you ever felt trapped by your fear or emotions? We have all been victimized by it in one way or another well it’s time to get over it. For many positive reasons. For starter imaging eliminating tons of undue stress in your life. How about the increased cash you keep from eliminating debt and start carving out a brighter future? Nothing in life is for certain except that you have to stand up for what matters most.

I just read in the paper the other day how our state of California is proposing to cut the high school exit exam due to the exorbitant deficit in this state. Our leaders want to remove the one test that states the quality of our future leaders, decision makers etcetera. What type of statement is that?

Let’s dumb down the society so we can just keep pulling the wool over their eyes? Californian’s glad I’m not native here, I love everything here except the education system, I remember when I came here at the age of 14 and started school I had reservations then. Now that I have children I really see what the system has done.

What I propose is we start imposing limits for these teachers, the real reason that these teachers and lawmakers want to remove the exit exam is due to the hordes of failing students, yet wait also want to blame the student’s parents for the existing problems, how can we the parents stand by and watch this happen?

I was floored when I read that headline and I put the paper down, what else needed to be said I immediately stated to my wife that a reform was going to take place. Parents need to rise up and stand together on issues like th is. We need other state departments, counties and educators to unite and fight for what’s right.

All because of money, well then schools need to go digital and interactive for the majority of their curriculum and teaching then the costs of future learning. I am sure that funding is available and could also stimulate several new jobs for thousands of workers. Creating new tax revenue for the state, new dollars back into the economy and stimulating our state right out of the recession.

Law makers aren’t rational all of the time, and this would be one of the worst decisions in history for anyone to make. Eliminating the high school exit exam means that teachers are failing and the facts are obvious to anyone who has a child. Whether we have a pleasant experience with our child’s teachers or not isn’t the question here. How is our child’s grades, their confidence levels, their social skills not to mention the reading writing and mathematics.

You can’t let this happen to our children, not to our future either. We have a right to defend our children’s rights and the right to a high level quality education is their right. Don’t take the steps necessary to prevent this change then don’t complain when your student isn’t at the level they should be.

If your not involved in your child’s life you should be. Don’t sit around and sing the same old song and dance when you sit on the side lines. Interact with the Parent Teacher Organizations in your schools or the PTA’s whichever may apply. Talk to school board members about your concerns if nothing arises then take the time to at contact the board of education or higher if necessary.

I believe all teachers should be energetic, up to date on the latest learning techniques. All under performing teachers need to be assessed and placed on 90 day probation; if no improvement disciplinary action needs to be practiced. Up to and including termination.

When it comes to your home based business why do you keep falling down

More and more families and seniors are becoming homeless, hard pressed and losing hope. Our economic situation is largely blamed if you listen to the news and public media. With our credit and financial market devastated and spiraling downward at an unprecedented rate many people are left wondering what will happen to them.

Job losses and layoff are peaking in many Bay Area cities as well as many places around our country. Yet when we look past our own circumstances what do we see. People still out and about, shopping, dining and enjoying life.

Even in their darkest hours the people we pass on the streets while we walk or drive by still keep on pushing forward. Many families have lost their nest eggs, retirement and rainy day funds. Yet the credit cards and general consumerism mentality still have a tight grip around the general public at large.

These stressful situations can create a world of uncertainty for many and for those who have had about enough this can be the straw that breaks the camels back. I was with a dear friend the other evening having a quiet evening in with him and my wife.

We had a nice meal for supper and then sat down to watch an old favorite of his with Michael Douglas as the leading character in a role for a movie called “Falling Down”. If you have ever seen this particular film than you can relate to what I am about to say.

If you haven’t I suggest that you rent it asap. Scene sets the stage here… William (D-FENS) just wants to get home to see his daughter on her birthday. Unfortunately, nothing seems to be going right for him.

This is in its simplest form a scenario of today for many people “nothing seems to be going right for them”.

In an instant when a chain reaction of events takes place a simple defense worker “William A.K.A. Bill” has a short circuit followed by a brief anxiety attack. What happens next is a series of events that takes Bill on an uncanny almost hilarious adventure of sorts all on a journey to his destination; to see his daughter on her birthday.

The mishaps and perils of Bills adventure are scenarios we are faced with everyday during every waking hour. As his journey continues and his mishaps perpetually grow in adversity and consequence Bill lashes back at each and every one of them until he finally reaches home.

Along the way Bills Ex Wife tries to deter and change Bills mindset on coming home. Apparently Bill has had episodes in the past that made his ex wife feel threatened and afraid of what could happen.

The climactic shift is at the end of this film where Bill has a very difficult choice before him; face the charges from his mishaps from his journey or die. Yes I said die! This was an unfortunate altercation of good guy goes bad and the devastation created in his wake were more than enough to secure him in prison for the rest of his life.

Here Bill took the cowards way out and opted for a one way ticket straight to Heaven or Hell which ever one took him I suppose.

Now back to modern day for a moment … I am not suggesting you opt for a way out by means of violence, or inappropriate behavior or misconduct, what I am offering you is simply a solution to your everyday challenges.

Starting from the gate is not an easy alternative for many. Those who have fallen and those who are about to fall can clearly feel those words. I too have fallen and more so than once. I have had to pick myself up and continue in the darkest of hours in the most desperate of times.

I know what it feel like to have your world ripped out from beneath your feet. I also know what it’s like to finally get far enough out of your hole to see the forest through the trees. To have a goal and to have the guts to get back up and run the race one more time take more than persistence; it takes guts, confidence, pride and belief that your doing the right thing.

Think for a moment that your troubles are a far distant memory, worries have been forgotten and your financial picture is one of beauty and elegance. You have arrived. You have given your all and the rewards are plenty. This is the freedom of choice, the freedom to believe in something that is you and at the very same time something that is much bigger than you.

There are usually three types of people in the world

1) Those who sit idly by and let things happen to them

2) Those who wonder what is going to happen to them

3) Those who make things happen to them.

Are you a 1, 2 or a 3? It’s really a simple choice to make until you stop and consider the consequences.

If you are a one and you constantly sit ny and let life happen you’re going to be watching life from the sidelines. Seeing everything you have ever wanted become someone else’s reality.

If you are a two you’re like a one except you are willing to consider making a choice if it has the right feel, well maybe I’ll just watch and see if she become or he becomes a success and then well maybe. I used to be this way.

If you are a three well congratulations! There aren’t very many threes out there anymore. Especially when it comes to taking a risk; Whoa, did he just say risk? Yes I said risk, not that life in its own right isn’t a risk, it is by all means especially in todays world.

You risk your life every time you set foot in traffic, climb on a bus, go outside and walk down the street. Those aren’t the risks I am speaking of I am merely speaking of the risks that it takes to change your situation.

The risk of becoming successful, abundant, idolized in your niche; the risk of possibly even falling down; have you ever had a hunch and gone with your gut only to have things not go the way you planned? I know every success has faced challenges and adversity along the way.

You need to know that eliminating risk is all a matter of simple planning and mind set. Then by taking action you ensure success. Even if it’s a baby step towards your ultimate goal it’s still progress.

Are you looking for a way to take control of your own life, starting your own online business is a fantastic way to take control of your financial future. Don’t wait until life happens to you and reach that point where you fall down on your own luck like William did. Take pride and use his determination to guide you.

The Economy How Bad Can It Get

In an article posted in the Wall Street Journal a look at the current economic outlook is viewed. Possibilities can vary widely depending what your outlook at the current situation is.

We are mirroring what Japan’s economy did in the late 80’s and 90’s when credit was easy and interest rates were low.

This is why  it’s imperative that you learn to protect your assets and your net worth from economic pitfalls. Using safe and sound investment strategies to not only grow your personal portfolio, you also need to hedge against economic setbacks.

Using land banking as a safe and sound strategy to grow your wealth and minimize or often eliminate  the many risks associated with traditional investments.
