Dates July 20th 2008 from the Sacramento Bee answered questions in their experts column. One in particular was concerning how to avoid probate.

In the article written by Trudy Nearn she was aske dby a woman who had a living will and power of attorney. The 71 year old woman explained she wanted to transfer her home to her daughter upon death.

As Trudy explained when you say a living will in most cases it’s a living trust. when you use a living trust the whole process of probate can be totally avoided.

It’s imperative that proper planning be done to ensure success of transfer of your estate to your heirs. Probate is a costly an lengthy process. In many cases the attorney, court and trustee costs eat up a huge portion of your estate leaving the heirs  with little to nothing at all.
