I’ll say it once and I’ll say it again If you fail to plan…
You’re planning to fail. Sure it’s difficult to know what the future will bring and most definitely times of both good and bad will continue. In this passing weeks article I was saddened to learn that many of our nations most monumental and influential sanctuaries of history are barely able to keep the lights on any more.
For many of our nations museums like the Mark Twain and Edith Wharton and many other scores of famous house museums are facing financial duress. Relying on donations and fund raising as the primary sources of income have proven unfruitful in the stress and tightening of our economy.
Twain’s house can barely keep the lights on. Combine this summers highest fuel prices and reduced travel expectancy and it’s possible that foreclosure may be imminent.
Let’s all get together and save the historical monuments that have shaped our country if you are interested in donating the cause then make the donations here. I will personally name the donations after you and send you the memorial gift once the donation has processed.
